TONE WORKSHOP - JULY 12

Hey Guys,

Rob's Guitar School is glad to announce that we will be offering many skill building workshops over the summer months!

The first of which will be a tone workshop hosted by Joe Compagna on July 12 from 2-4 pm.

Here is a breakdown of the workshop:

Trying to get the sounds of your favorite guitarist? Looking to create your own? This is your chance to discover the ins and outs of guitar tone. This two-hour workshop will cover every aspect of tone from your fingers to your ears and everything in between. You will learn to get the most out of the controls on your guitar and amp. We’ll look at the full gamut of effects pedals including overdrive, distortion, choruses, flanges, tremolos, reverbs and delays.

People are encourage to bring their own guitar, amp, and pedals/pedalboard and Joe will work with each student to setup their desired tones. Don't have equipment? Just bring your guitar!

We have a 4 student minimum for the workshop to run. We have a little bit of work to do with the payment links so if you are interested, please send an email to info@robsguitarschool.net or click here and we will get back to you to secure you a spot or answer any questions you may have!

Workshop Details

- Bring your gear!

- Part 1 – Show and Tell (30 minutes)

- Part 2 – Discussion (30 minutes)

o Guitars

o Amps

o Pedals

- Part 3 – Lab (30 minutes)

o Participants break up into small groups (2-3 participants/group)

o Each group works together to create new tones for each other

▪ one person plays

▪ others assist, twisting knobs, etc.

▪ take notes/pictures of the new settings for future reference

- Part 4 – Demo new tones, show and tell pt 2 (30 minutes)
