Elliot Marro
We are very proud to announce Elliot Marro joining our vaunted RGS Hall of Fame! Elliot is starting his third year with Rob as his teacher and he’s doing fantastic. He started out on the acoustic guitar learning his basic open chords and strumming and now here he is three years later on the electric guitar learning scales and arpeggios and playing songs and guitar solos from some of his favorite bands like Metallica, Foo Fighters, U2 and AC/DC. If he’s done all this in three years, imagine what he’ll be playing in three more? Elliot knows that playing guitar is all about fun and he’s having a blast and it shows!

BRAD BASCOM
Brad Bascom has been a dedicated guitar student of RGS since 2019. He started his musical journey years before on piano and decided that he wanted to give guitar a try for a month or two to see how it goes. 7 years later he’s still going strong on guitar. Brad has done a fantastic job learning guitar and is a great student. He’s learned to play many songs on the acoustic guitar, and has become a talented fingerpicker. He also picked up the electric guitar; learning to play some of his favorite classic rock songs and has even learned to play Metallica songs and lead guitar parts. Brad continues to enjoy learning and growing on the guitar. The sky’s the limit for Brad!

TRACY RIEUR
Congrats to Tracy for receiving a student shout out this month! We want to award her for her great progress as she has moved past the beginner level!
Here are a few words from her:
"I have always wanted to play guitar and I finally bit the bullet! I have been surprised and delighted with how much I look forward to my lessons with Liam and my daily practice. It has brought me a great amount of enjoyment and sense of accomplishment. It’s really cool (and sometimes frustrating!) to start to learn a song and it actually begins sounds like it should! Thanks Liam!"

Liam O'meara
Liam has been a student of Rob’s since he was 9 years old starting in 2016. His first lessons began a long time ago when Rob’s Guitar School was at the Groton Grange. Over the years, Liam has grown on guitar with us as we’ve grown! From his first kid’s beginner classes where he learned to play open chords and strumming patterns, to his current teen/adult class where he is now able to play practically any rock song that he wants, Liam has come a long ways. His dedication to learning to play guitar has been steady throughout the years. Liam recently built his own electric guitar (pictured)! He has just graduated from Groton-Dunstable Regional High School and is starting the next phase of his life in college. We’re very proud of Liam and the musical gifts that he has achieved. These will be with him for the rest of his life. Congrats Liam!

Serena Bronda
This past month Serena hit a major milestone in her playing. With many beginner students, the biggest frustration is being able to play the chords but not being able to have them sound like a song. Serena broke throught this obstacle in her playing of “Born with a Broken Heart” by Damiano David. Here are a few words from her:
"Music is everything in our family. I got into guitar because I wanted to learn a new skill. Inspired by my husband’s and little kids’ love for music, I have always dreamed of playing together one day. Playing guitar--whether with Liam during my weekly lessons or practicing at home--is a special time for me, when I can focus on myself and have fun. So far, it’s been a fun and exciting journey, and I look forward to seeing how far I can go!"
