Songwriting Workshop

Have you always wanted to write a song or just learn how songs are made?  Rob's Guitar School will be holding a songwriting workshop taught by the owner and chief instructor of Rob's Guitar School, Rob Compagna.

DetailsFor all levels and instruments.  In this fun and informative workshop, learn how to write your own songs.  Topics covered are song structure, basic chord theory, musical riffs and hooks, writing lyrics and singing.  Students will leave the workshop having written their own song!

Where, When and How Much:  This workshop is being held at our Newton location at 48 Chandler Place on Sunday, November 12th. The workshop will be held from 3pm to 5:30pm. Seats must be reserved ahead of time and there are only 8 spots available.  A minimum of four seats must be sold for us to hold this workshop. Session fee is $50 per seat. 

About Rob Compagna:  Rob has been playing guitar for 34 years and teaching for 30 years and has played in New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Texas and throughout New England, in bands such as G3 New England, Intercept, Slight Return, C-4 and the Summertime Jazz Band. Rob is a former songwriting student of Emmy award winning film and TV composer Brad Hatfield (Iron Man 2, Borat, Analyze This, The Break-Up, and Cop Land) and has produced, written and recorded many songs.  As a guitar teacher, Rob has taught hundreds of guitar students in his lifetime.
